Infant School drop in session

Wednesday 26 April between 9-11am

Grange Court Road, Westbury-on-Trym

Joining the Infant and Junior School

You are welcome to look around during term time on an individual basis and/or to come to one of our collective visiting events.

Infants

Our Infant School provision is for girls aged 4 to 7, starting in Reception and progressing to the Junior School at the end of Year 2. From September 2017, this will be based at Grange Court Road, Westbury-on-Trym, on the same site as our Junior School.

During their first steps into school life, we encourage our pupils to develop their self-esteem and foster positive relationships with their peers and teachers. We promote risk taking in a safe environment to develop inquisitive minds and we celebrate each child as an individual.

Those considering joining usually start with a visit, followed by a taster session when your daughter will spend time with potential classmates and teachers, and experience some of our traditional and progressive teaching methods.

Drop in event for Infants - Wednesday 26 April, 9.00-11.00am

We are throwing open our doors to prospective families for an informal 'drop in'. Arrival is from 9.00am, you will see our new classrooms and playground, and meet many of our staff. Bring your daughter as well - she will be welcome to join our current Infant pupils while you look around.

Juniors

Our Junior School begins at Year 3 and this is a popular entry point with new pupils.

To apply for a place, you need to register your daughter and book her in for a taster day when she will attend lessons with pupils of her own age.

For part of the day, she will work alongside the Headteacher who will assess her ability in mathematics, writing and reading, and carry out a non-verbal reasoning test.

You don't need to prepare her - she will look back and think what fun she's had!

We then invite you in for detailed feedback, which parents find extremely useful.

Years 3 and 4 each have two parallel classes with their own classteacher, while Years 5 and 6 each have three parallel classes and teaching teams.

Summer Visiting Morning - Thursday 18 May, 9.30am

Look around on a normal school day, ideal for those seeking entry in September 2018
