Extra-Curricular Sport

We boast the best on-site sports facilities of any of Bristol’s day schools, so our students can take part in a wide range of activities both at lunchtime and after school. These opportunities are open to everyone, and it is fantastic to see the girls in action every day, being trained and encouraged by skilled, enthusiastic staff.

Our extensive fixture list sees Red Maids' playing competitively against a wide range across the region and in many county, regional and national tournaments.

In addition to timetabled PE lessons, we also run the following clubs:Aerobics / Zumba classes, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Canoeing, Caving, Climbing, Cricket, Cross-country running, Dance, Fencing, Football, Gymnastics, Hockey, Hockey Goalkeeper Practice, Judo, Netball, Netball Shooting Practice, Rounders, Swimming, Tennis and Trampolining.

National Schools Equine Association

We are pleased to announce that we are now registered with the National Schools Equine Association which enables any girls who enjoy horse riding to compete under the school's name.

Red Maids' currently has eight students registered with the NSEA ranging from Years 7 to 13.
