The Red Maids' School today is very different from the hospital school founded in 1634, although we are still committed to John Whitson's vision of providing an outstanding education for girls, regardless of background or financial means.
Since 2003, the school has received many generous donations which have been used to fund specific projects which enhance learning, as well as adding to the endowment funds for both building works and bursaries. We are enormously grateful to everyone who has made a donation.
We still need to raise more money to continue the ethos of John Whitson's original legacy. Every pound you donate allows us to ensure that Red Maids' continues to provide a first-class education to girls, regardless of their financial means.
